The Sumis are Greywash dilutions based on number 6 True Pigment Black. Our sumis do not lighten during the healing phase, so caution is advised. Perfect for shadow work.

#1 Sumi is 1/38 of the base black, meaning your base (#6 True Pigment Black) is diluted with 1:37 parts water. It contains four times less black compared to #2 Sumi.

#2 Sumi is 1/10 of your base black (6 True Pigment Black) and is 3.5 times lighter than Sumi 3.

#3 Sumi is approximately 1/3 of your base black (6 True Pigment Black) and is half as light as Sumi 4.

#4 Sumi is approximately a 1:1 mixture of your base black (6 True Pigment Black) with water and is the darkest sumi. It is really very dark.
